Half Day Trip to Saladin Citadel, El Moez Street, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar

Price Starting From : $55

Explore a breathtaking panoramic view from the castle's summit, which includes several incredible vistas of Old Cairo, its architecture, and the three distant pyramids. Saladin's Citadel was constructed during the Ayyubid dynasty, so take some souvenir pictures to preserve your memories of that time period. 1052 years have passed since Saladin Castle was established.

You will be able to see the Mohammed Ali Mosque or the Alabaster Mosque, as its silver dome is the expressive dome, but the Mohammed Ali Mosque, which is considered an icon of beauty and Ottoman architecture in Egypt, was built by “Mohammed Ali”, in the Ottoman style, with the same design as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul, known as the Blue Mosque.

Al-Moez Street is one of the most important and prominent open museums in Egypt, which extends between two doors of the walls of Old Cairo from Bab Al-Futuh in the north to Bab Zuwayla in the south, passing through several ancient historical lanes and streets, the most prominent of which are: Al-Darb Al-Asfar, Burjwan, Khan Al-Khalili, and Al-Ghouriya.

Salah al-Din Citadel, which Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi started building this castle on Mount Muqattam in 572 AH / 1176 AD in a place that was known as the air dome, but he did not complete it in his lifetime, and was completed by Sultan al-Kamil bin al-Adil (604 AH / 1207 AD), who was the first to inhabit it and take it as the king's house, and it remained the seat of government of Egypt until the reign of Khedive Ismail, who moved the seat of government to Abdeen Palace in the Khedivaliya district of Cairo.

Al-Moez Street The street was named Al-Moez Din Allah in 1937, and that name extends from Bab Al-Fotouh to Bab Zuwayla, including the streets of Bab Al-Fotouh, Amir Al-Jewish, Al-Nahasin, Ben Qasrin, Al-Sagha, Al-Ashrafiya, Al-Shawayin, Al-Aqadin, Al-Manakhliyah, Al-Manjadin, Al-Sukariya to Bab Zuwayla, and the current name goes back to the Fatimid Caliph Al-Moez Din Allah.

Khan El Khalili Street is not just a street, but an area full of memories and spirituality of its own that makes it a must-see for anyone who visits and lives in Cairo.

The Citadel was built by a ruler named Salah al-Din to keep the city safe from attacks by a group called the Crusaders. It was also meant to be a safe place for the ruler to run the government. This happened a long time ago, not too long after Salah al-Din had taken down another group called the Fatimid Caliphate.

Al Moez Street is a very important street in Cairo that tells the story of the city from a long time ago until now. It shows how Islamic civilization has changed over time, starting with the Fatimid era, then the Ayyubid era, and then the Mamelukes, Circassians, and Ottomans. The street goes on for a long way and has lots of interesting things to see.

The Saladin Citadel in Cairo is a huge and impressive building that shows us how people used to build things a long time ago. It is very tall and can be seen from far away. When I visited, I was amazed by how beautiful it was and how important it is in history.
