You may take a half-day trip to Coptic Cairo and the Coptic Museum. You will be driven in the morning from the front of your Cairo or Giza hotel to the Coptic Cairo monuments, including:
The Coptic Museum
This museum was founded by the Coptic scholar Markus Smika, who collected a collection of rare Coptic antiquities for many years since 1898, and contributed to collecting donations to establish the museum, and in 1902 Markus was able to obtain the approval of Patriarch Cyril V to obtain land to build a museum that includes Coptic antiquities next to the Hanging Church.
Hanging Church
It is one of the oldest surviving churches in Egypt; the smaller church belongs to the third or fourth century AD, while the larger church dates back to the sixth century AD. The Hanging Church continued to serve as the official seat of the papal see until the reign of Pope Yohannes VIII, Patriarch 80 (1300-1320), with the exception of short periods when some popes used the Abi Sevin Church in Old Cairo as an alternative resting place.
Abu Serga Church
It was an important stop on the Holy Family's journey to Egypt, also known as the Church of the Cave; historians confirm that it is the oldest church in ancient Egypt and even in all of Cairo.
Ben Ezra's Jewish Temple
The Ben Ezra Synagogue is one of the most important and oldest synagogues in Egypt, and about the similarity of the architectural layout of the temple with churches, I attribute the reason for this to the fact that it was originally a church that was converted into a synagogue, as it is a rectangular area with facades devoid of decorations, while the interior follows the basilica style, where it is divided by two courtyards into three parallel hallways, the middle of which is the widest, and in the middle hallway there are two platforms, the first is known as the Atlas of the Miracle, while the second is the prayer platform (bima).
