During Ramadan, tourist sites close at 3:00 pm, so the tours usually start one hour in advance.

Itinerary

At 8:00 a.m., our representative will greet you and introduce you to our guide who will lead you on an exciting and historic journey... The first stop will be your arrival in Ismailia, a beautiful and peaceful governorate of Egypt.

When the foundation stone for the city of Timsah was placed on April 27, 1862, during the reign of Said Pasha, Ismailia was formally formed.  Because of its location north of Lake Timsah, it was given this name.  The French Canal Company hosted a large event on March 4, 1863.

The first concession and following concession decrees, the first axe strike in the drilling operations, the conclusion of the drilling operations (August 18, 1869), and the inauguration ceremony on November 17, 1869, constitute the true history of the Suez Canal.
