Egypt has many churches, through some of which we will get to know Coptic Cairo with us, and among its most important churches is the Hanging Church. Since the Hanging Church was constructed on the southern gate of the Roman Fortress, it is also known as the Suspended Church or al-Muallaqa. Over the remains of the Roman fortress, logs of palm trees and stone layers were built to serve as a foundation.

This church is called "the church of St.Mary at Babylon in Egypt" Texts in Arabic describe it as the -Church of our Lady Mary, surnamed The Hanging Church.-

We'll begin your tour of the Giza Pyramids from your hotel. Our representative will be in front of your hotel with our driver to transport you. You'll visit the following with us:

We will then move to Coptic Cairo and visit several churches, including Abu Serga, it is the Episcopal Church of the city, the Episcopal See of Misr (the district of Old Cairo) replaced the former See of Babylon and many bishops of that See were consecrated in this church until the reign of patriarch Christaduls.

The Hanging Church, which european travelers have called "the church of the column" or "the church of the staircase." This church is located to the south of the modern city of Cairo, at Qasr al-Sham 'in Old Cairo, occupying the southwest bastions of the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon. After that we head to the Nile to ride a felucca on the Nile and enjoy the fresh air. After your felucca, we will return you to your hotel.
