Because of its unique architectural and religious features, the Kom Ombo Temple, which is situated north of the governorate, is one of the most well-known temples.

Enjoy a visit to Esna and learn about the most famous temple there, as the Temple of Khnum is the only remaining of four temples that existed in Esna, three of which are in the northwest of Esna in (Asfun - Kom El-Deir - West Esna), while the fourth was located in the east of Esna (Hella). In 1830, another temple was discovered in Komir, about 10 km southwest of Esna. However, these temples disappeared since the last century, and nothing remains of them except what indicates them, as the French scientist (Champollion) visited the Temple of Esna in 1828 AD and mentioned that he saw inscriptions bearing the name of King Thutmose in this temple.
