We will start our Fayoum Day Tour from Aswan by going to Wadi Al-Hitan, the biggest vertebrate fossil mine in the world. From fish to the Egyptian ape, the earliest mammal in the animal kingdom to exhibit human-like traits, some 130 fossil species have been discovered. In addition to the skeletons of numerous other animals and fish, including sharks and bony fish, the Wadi El Hitan Reserve is rich in rare fossils because Twenty to thirty million years ago, it was a part of the Mediterranean Sea. The percentage of remains discovered in any region or time period only ranges between 2.5% and 13%.
Following a delicious local lunch in Tunis Village, we will proceed to the waterfalls and Wadi El Rayan. Since certain Fayoum centers released their excess agricultural runoff into the Wadi El Rayan depression in the 1970s, these waterfalls are natural rather than man-made. Among the most significant tourist destinations and aesthetically pleasing locations is the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls area, where geological monuments, various historical periods, water, plants, animals, and birds all coexist peacefully.
We will take you to Cairo International Airport at the end of the day so you can catch your flight back to Aswan.
