It is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Egypt and includes the pyramids of the Fourth Dynasty kings Khufu, his son Khafre, and his grandson Mankhaura, as well as the famous Sphinx. Each of the pyramids of the kings had a group of pyramids, each of which included the pyramids of the queens, a small pyramid considered doctrinal for the king, a valley temple from which started an ascending path whose sides are carved with scenes of daily life leading to an upper temple known as a funerary temple, and the priests performed funeral and burial rituals for the deceased king inside these temples.
After that we will continue our adventure with the visit of the Dahshur area, where Dahshur is one of the tourist areas where visitors from all over the world come for its many monuments of ancient Egypt, where the Egyptian Pharaoh Sneferu chose the rocky plateau of Dahshur to create his tomb, matching the tomb of his father Djoser, owner of the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. In Dahshur, Giza, Egypt, we will be able to witness the Red Pyramid, also called the Pyramid of the North, which is the biggest pyramid. This pyramid is named after the rust-red color of its red limestone stones, and it is also the third largest Egyptian pyramid, we can visit the curving pyramid after the Khufu and Khafre pyramids in Giza. The work took 14 years to build the Leaning Pyramid, and it seems that Sneferu did not like it and decided to build the Red Pyramid according to the experience that his engineers learned from building the Leaning Pyramid. He chose the site for his pyramid, where he is buried, about 2 kilometers north of the Leaning Pyramid, in the city of Dahshur.
You will also enjoy a donkey ride around the Dahshur area and take some special photos that will remind you of this wonderful day.
