Your Egypt shore excursion begins as your tour guide welcomes you at Safaga Port, just outside your cruise ship. From there, you will travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle from Safaga to Luxor, a journey of approximately three hours.

Your first stop will be the Luxor Temple, one of the greatest and best-preserved examples of ancient Egyptian temple architecture. This is a must-stop site on every Egypt tour departing Casa Safaga shore excursions.

Next, go with your guide to the Valley of the Kings, where the ancient pharaohs of Egypt were laid to rest. Thutmose I has one of the earliest tombs here from the 18th Dynasty. The place lies in the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, in southern Egypt.

Following that, explore Dra Abu El Naga, an important archaeological site with links to the Theban necropolis. You will also visit the Ramesseum, the mortuary temple of Ramses II, where parts of the original structure—columns and statues—still remain on the West Bank of the Nile.
