After enjoying your breakfast, you'll meet your dedicated tour guide to begin your Egypt Easter adventure.
Your day starts with a transfer to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This remarkable structure is made of over 2.6 million stone blocks, each weighing around 50 tons. King Cheops, the son of King Sneferu, was one of Egypt’s most renowned rulers and the second king of the Fourth Dynasty. His fame remains unmatched to this day.
Next, you will visit the middle pyramid of King Chephren, who, while aiming to surpass his father's pyramid, chose to build a slightly smaller pyramid on a higher plateau, making it appear larger than the Great Pyramid. The third pyramid, that of Mycerinus, is the smallest of the trio.
You will also explore the Great Sphinx, an iconic limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a human, built by King Chephren to guard the pyramids from grave robbers, symbolizing divine protection.
Then, you'll visit the Valley Temple, the mortuary temple of King Chephren.
A delicious lunch will be served at a well-regarded local restaurant before continuing to downtown Cairo.
Afterwards, you'll visit The Egyptian Museum, home to over 120,000 artifacts, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun, one of the most famous archaeological finds in history.
Your guide will then take you through Coptic Cairo, where you'll see the Hanging Church, the oldest and most famous church in the area. Built atop a Roman fortress, it gets its name from its position on the southern wall.
You'll also visit St. Sergius Church, believed to be a place of refuge for the Holy Family during their flight from King Herod’s soldiers.
Next, you’ll visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, a historic site where it’s believed the baby Moses was discovered in a basket.
Your tour continues with a visit to Islamic Cairo, where you'll explore the bustling Khan El Khalili market, Egypt’s oldest and most famous bazaar, known for its authentic Egyptian souvenirs.
