Abu Simbel, also known as the Great Temple, is a collection of two temples, one of which was constructed for Ramses II, the Pharaoh, and the other for "Nefertari," his lovely wife. It was founded two centuries ago and was constructed in 1255 BC.

To begin your wonderful journey from Luxor, you will be met in the morning. After you are taken to the Abu Simbel Temple, our guide will give you some facts, including: In the 19th century, Swiss Egyptologist Johann Ludwig Burckhardt rediscovered On the west bank of the Nile, the two temples of Abu Simbel were cut into two hills of sandstone. This last project, which was a Swedish project, was selected; it was a project. Early in 1964, the rescue effort got underway, and it was finished in 1972.
