Day trip to El Rifai, Sultan Hassan Mosque, and Giza Pyramids From Hurghada

Price Starting From : $0

El Rifai, Sultan Hassan Mosque, and Giza Pyramids

From the earliest days of Islamic history to the present, Islamic architecture includes both secular and religious building forms that are linked with Islam.  Based on regional hubs of creative creation, local dynasties and patrons, local materials and methods, and perhaps differing religious connections, several areas created their unique styles. See the Sultan Hassan Mosque and the Al-Rifa'i Mosque, two of Egypt's most well-known mosques, to learn more.

Among the most significant structures in Cairo is the Sultan Hassan Mosque. It was built with its center facing the qibla. Using your camera, you can capture the mosque's interior and exterior corridors and the beauty of its Islamic architecture, which presents a picture of Mamluk architectural design.

Since the Egyptian dialect is now thought to be a combination of Arabic and the hieroglyphic language, a visit to the pyramids will teach you about Egyptian mythology and religion in addition to the hieroglyphic language.

Khufu was the first pyramid. King Khufu of the Fourth Dynasty commissioned construction of this pyramid during the very zenith of the Old Kingdom of Egypt, namely in 2590 BC; construction itself lasted barely some thirty years. The lengthy processes towards building Khufu's burial complex were initiated with the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, the very first stone monument of humanity, credited to King Djoser and architect Imhotep.

Khafre, the second pyramid. The second pyramid was built on the Giza plateau during the reign of Khafre, the son of Khufu, between 2518 and 2492 BC. Though 3 m smaller than his father's, it seems to surpass it. After all, its construction site upon a rocky hillock in the plateau lifts its summit to even greater altitude than his father's bigger neighbor.

Considered the last giant pyramid, as it was over 100 m high, Khafre's pyramid originally measured 143.87 m with a square base measuring 215.16 m on each side and an inclination of 53°.

You will be transported to Islamic Egypt following a tour of the pyramids. For its construction, Khushyar Hanem commissioned the engineer Hussein Pasha Fahmy to build a large mosque in the area. When she died in 1885, construction halted for 25 years until Khedive Abbas Hilmi II ordered construction to resume, and it was inaugurated in 1912.

We next proceed to Sultan Hassan Mosque. The biggest of the mosque's four perpendicular iwans facing one another is the eastern one, which serves as the entryway to the dome.  The length of the passageway that leads to the dome is 28 meters.

Observers may enjoy the mosque's vastness from any perspective because it was built in the Persian mosque style.  The gypsum band in the eastern iwan, which has phrases in Kufic script based on plant leaves, is one of the few inscriptions on the walls.

After lunch and this special excursion, it's time to return to Hurghada.
