On your first morning in Siwa Oasis, get a nice morning between nature and take your delicious breakfast at your hotel. Get ready to see Shali Fortress, one of the best sights in Siwa. It was built by an old method called the khersheif, which is a mix of mud, salt, and clay.
It’s a common method for the Siwan citizens for their buildings, which are eco-friendly. The word Shali means the protected city in the Amazigh language, which is the local language for the citizens of Siwa Oasis in Egypt.
We will continue our adventure by visiting the temple of Um Ubaida, the second temple for the god Amun. The temple is unique in its inscriptions. When you visit the temple, you will see three enchanting columns of the goddess inscribed on its walls.
Now, it’s time to have a unique walk where you will visit the Siwan House. The Siwan House will let you know the heritage and the history of Siwa and its citizens, where you will see the tools of Siwa, the traditional clothes, women's traditional jewels, wedding instruments, wedding clothes, and baskets.
The Siwan house is also built according to the Siwan style of mixing mud with salt, which makes the house protected from the heat of the sun and warm during the winter and the sandy weather of the western Egyptian desert. The Siwian house will display all the details of the life of Siwa for you and how simple and tender this civilization is. The Siwan citizens are very proud of their heritage and culture; they keep their traditions and keep their oasis safe at the same time while synchronizing modern life.
Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel to relax and enjoy the calm night in Siwa
