The temple of hebes is one of the most important Egyptian temples and tourist attractions in the Arab Republic of Egypt, specifically in the New Valley governorate, about one kilometer north of the city of Kharga.

The temple bears the name of the Kharga Oasis (hibt _hibs) and was built on an area of 798 square meters, 42 meters long and 19 meters wide in the era of the Persian king Dara I (510-490 BC.Ad) on the remains of an ancient temple dating from the era of the XXVI dynasty (664 BC. It probably has ancient origins dating back to the Middle Egyptian kingdom era in 2100 BC, and in the later eras of the Persian era, many additions were made to the temple until its elements 

On its walls, the oldest text on women's rights was inscribed more than two thousand years ago within the longest wall texts on Virtue and moral tolerance, and inside it the largest gate was built in the Egyptian desert, so it became the unique monument that has no analogues in the world because it is the last remnant of the era of the Safavid ERA in Egypt as a single copy known as the temple of hebes, which is located about one kilometer north of the city of Kharga, . It may have ancient origins dating back to the Middle Kingdom era in 2100 BC. The importance of this temple lies in the fact that it represents the various historical eras of pharaonic, Persian, Ptolemaic and Roman, and it is also considered one of the most important Egyptian temples, as it is the only Egyptian temple remaining from the Persian Safavid era and was built to worship the Holy Trinity (Amun - MUT-Khonsu).

The temple of hebes contains the principles of the first legislative constitution known as the law of 66, which is written in classical ancient Latin from the Roman era It is so named because it consists of 6 lines that talk about the Constitution of the country at this time, not only oases,  Recruitment, How to collect taxes from the peasants, as well as the treatment of Roman soldiers to the people of the Oasis, which was a garrison subordinate to Roman rule and subject to him When the people and peasants were affected by the soldiers ' ill-treatment of them, the ruler in Egypt sent the text of this law by decree to the ruler of the oases. The journey of restoration and saving it from collapse and decay took 15 years under the supervision of Dr. Zahi Hawass, who stayed for several days at the temple site, researching how to start the rescue journey accompanied by professors from leading Egyptian archaeologists, and engineer Ibrahim Mahlab, former prime minister, participated in the restoration work when he was chairman of the board of Directors of the Arab Contractors Company, to which the restoration work was assigned.

This temple contains a unique set of engraved views and paintings, which have not been repeated in most Egyptian temples, where some rare views are found only in this temple, the temple also includes a very large and diverse group of idols, headed by the Theban Holy Trinity, as well as the trinity of MANF and the Holy ninth, as well as thamon ashmunin, in addition to many local and foreign idols such as the Syrian idol (ishtart), who worshiped in Egypt at some period and united with Egyptian idols.
