You will enjoy an unforgettable experience in Cairo with a transfer from Cairo airport; one of our representatives will be waiting for you at the airport at the exact time of your arrival to make the most of your time exploring Egypt.
Your amazing journey begins at the Necropolis of Giza, where you can marvel at the sight of Egypt's three enormous pyramids. The Great Pyramid, also called the Pyramid of Cheops, constructed between 2580 and 2560 BC, the smaller Pyramid of Khafre, situated a few hundred meters to the southwest, and the relatively small Pyramid of Menkaure, situated a few hundred meters to the southwest, make up the Giza Pyramids complex. Egyptologists agree that King Khafre's head is symbolized by the Great Sphinx, which stands on the eastern side of the compound.
It is also so important to know that the ancient Egyptians are believed to have used innovative methods to build the pyramids, relying on a sand road on which pieces of stone were placed on wooden skis, with rounded palm tree trunks underneath serving as wheels. These sleds were pulled by ropes and oxen, with water sprinkled on the sand to facilitate the pulling. As the height of the structure increased, the amount of sand used increased until the top of the pyramid was reached. The pyramid is then covered with smooth limestone from the top to the base as the sand is removed.
Following that, we embarked on yet another amazing journey to the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the most significant institutions in Egyptian history and one that has recently attracted a lot of attention. It is situated close to the Giza pyramids, a few kilometers west of Cairo. With space for five million visitors a year, it is being constructed to become the biggest antiquities museum in the world. A restoration center and a museum garden will be planted with trees that the ancient Egyptians were already familiar with, in addition to commercial and recreational service buildings. Japan's JICA is offering soft loans as part of Egypt's campaign to finance the project. Over 100,000 artifacts from the Pharaonic, Greek, and Roman periods will be on display at the museum.
Then we shall set off on our journey to Saqqara. In 1979, UNESCO named the region between the pyramids of Giza and Dahshur, which passes through Saqqara, a World Heritage Site. It is believed that nearly sixteen Egyptian rulers constructed pyramids in Saqqara, along with a few funeral monuments constructed by some of the highest officials of ancient Egypt.
After finishing your excursions in Cairo, we will return you to Cairo airport for your flight back to your country.
